The music of Carole King is often called the “music of a generation.” Her songs have been performed by elite artists including Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, and the Beatles. King’s story is on stage at the Springer through May 12 and, even though you don’t need any, here are five reasons you should come see the show. 

#5 The cast is stellar and features amazing performances. From Carole King’s relationship struggles with husband Gerry Goffin and friendship with fellow songwriters Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to the musical moves of the Shirelles, the Drifters, and Righteous Brothers, the actors breathe life into the people who made music “pop” for more than fifty years.
